Spiritual Life Intern

What will you build?

Spiritual Life Intern
You will have the opportunity to work with the Steward of Spiritual Practices and global staff to facilitate devotionals/prayers and publish spiritual life content. Our ideal candidate can write spiritual life content, lead spiritual practices, a mature Christian who can work with people of all walks of life and faith traditions.

*This position is virtual, and the candidate needs to in the US, Costa Rica, or Bratislava.

Responsibilities:
** Collaboration with Habitat staff to lead spiritual practices such as devotionals and daily prayer. (25%)
** Research, write and publish spiritual practices for various global stakeholders in the global Habitat community. (Construction supervisors, board members, development workers, etc.) (50%)
** Per the candidate's talents and interests, lead projects that grow the spiritual life and Christian mission of Habitat. (25%)

Minimum Qualifications:
** Successfully pursuing or recently completed a theological, inter-cultural studies degree or the equivalent experience.
** Two years of ministry experience with peers or adults, preferably in contexts where Habitat works.
** Humble, hungry for a challenge, and emotional intelligence.
** Ability to perceive organizational and personal dynamics
** Well-organized and able to work well both independently and in a team environment.
** Strong English verbal and written communications skills.
** Capacity to integrate Christian faith and today's culture

Preferred Qualifications:
** Clinical Pastoral Education or other professional counseling experience
** Community development experience
** International experience.
** Spanish fluency

Duration and weekly hours: The paid internship is 20-30 hours/week paid from now until December 2022, with the potential option to extend.
