The PantherDining Department at Georgia State University is seeking to hire a Dishwasher II. This position serves as lead person on dishwashing assignments. Assists in the training and development of Dishwasher Is, students, and temporary employees on washing methods and procedures. Oversees assigned student and temporary personnel. Assists daily in trash removal, cleaning, and maintenance of the back of house operation.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:

This position works with management to ensure continued compliance with green seal initiatives. In addition to "other duties as assigned", this position may be required to be cross-trained for another position and/or responsibility in order to provide both back-up for a department as well as supplement resources needed during certain times of the year.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Properly cleans the cooking utensils and equipment.
• Restocks all washed items in appropriate areas.
• Maintains the cleanliness of dish machines, as well as all dish areas.
• Washes, sorts, replaces, and restocks flatware, serving dishes, china, glasses, and all other washable items.
• Assists in the organization, pick up, and cleaning of laundry area.
• Promotes sustainability within Dining operations including implementation and maintenance of Somat or similar food pulping procedures.
• Works with management to ensure continued compliance with green seal initiatives.
• Works with Dining Hall Supervisors for inventory and maintaining par levels of all flatware and dishware as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements:

• Previous dishwashing experience.
• Physical Requirements: Extended standing, walking, ability to bend, stoop, reach and climb ladders.
• Ability to lift 35 pounds.
• Ability to work in all temperature conditions.
• Flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
