Position Summary
The Assistant Director for Student Governance reports to the Director of Engagement, Leadership, and Service. This position is primarily responsible for advising the Student Government Association and Graduate Student Association; assisting with SGA-specific alumni engagement, donor stewardship, and solicitation in support of SGA's foundation account and support of the SGA Professional Clothing Closet and Fresh Express Food Pantry; managing the Experiential Learning offerings of the department; managing the facilitation of departmental assessment efforts; and overseeing the departmental scholarships application and allocation processes.

Duties/Responsibilities

Advising and Student Leadership Development
- Serve as the day-to-day administrative advisor to the Student Government Association and the Graduate Student Association to include assisting with operational success of the organizations.
- Oversee their expenditure of funds in compliance with university policies, as well as solicitation and stewardship efforts for the SGA foundation account.
- Attend and support the SGA-facilitated All-Campus Allocations and One-Time Allocation processes.
- Facilitate leadership development for the student leaders of the organizations.
- Provide oversight of the SGA Professional Clothing Closet and SGA Fresh Express Food Pantry initiatives to include operational success, donor stewardship and solicitation, and campus collaboration.

Duties/Responsibilities
Experiential Learning Management
- Oversee the Experiential Learning opportunities of the department to include communication with colleagues regarding updates from the Experiential Learning department, facilitating consistency of experiences, and marketing and promotion efforts to recruit students.

Administrative Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate the annual assessment practices of the department to include university/division competencies, consistency of learning outcomes, and measurement of key performance indicators.
- Facilitate annual scholarship processes allocating over $75,000 per year to student recipients including marketing and promotion of the offerings.
