Your Job

Georgia-Pacific is looking for a Learning and Development Manager to support our maintenance teams at the Brunswick Cellulose facility. This position will provide technical expertise and guidance to improve technician knowledge, skills, and personal growth while ensuring compliance with vendor, OSHA/EPA, and company directives.


Our Team

The Brunswick Cellulose facility is one of the largest integrated fluff pulp mills in the country with a modern woodyard, fiberline, three paper machines, waste treatment plant, and utilities operations. The Brunswick Cellulose Mill, located in the southeast corner of Georgia is within minutes of downtown Brunswick and about an hour from Jacksonville, FL to the south and Savannah, GA to the north.


What You Will Do

  • Ensuring all maintenance team members receive proper training on vehicles, components, and OEM troubleshooting software.
  • Overseeing OSHA/EPA/Company required training for maintenance employees and maintaining accurate training records.
  • Coordinating in-house and vendor-led training activities, including record-keeping.
  • Developing and implementing custom training plans for both technical and career growth for all maintenance employees.
  • Coordinating and maintaining maintenance diagnostic software and associated laptops with the support of IT and area maintenance departments.
  • Collaborating with the area reliability engineer, OEM, and vendors to identify common equipment failures and find repair solutions.
  • Working with the corporate Asset Health Team to establish best practices utilizing Standard Repair Times and maintenance repair stances across the facility.
  • Creating technician development plans for each Tech level to ensure continuous improvement and progression.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures for the Maintenance Department.
  • Managing internal repair knowledge sharing bulletins, vendor released repair information, and recalls.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience working in a mechanical or electrical maintenance operations role.
  • Experience identifying equipment failures and collaborating with relevant stakeholders for repair solutions.
  • Familiarity with OSHA/EPA regulations and requirements
  • Experience in coordinating training functions and developing training plans.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in industrial engineering, organizational development, or training and development
  • Experience in developing and implementing technician development plans.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Asset health management experience
