GEMU is a globally active company with its own sales companies on all continents. The GEMU headquarters is located in Ingelfingen, Germany and employs over 2500 employees worldwide. At our manufacturing site in Switzerland, we develop and manufacture high-quality plastic solutions. We manufacture process, control and regulating valves for the semiconductor and pharmaceutical industries, water treatment and biotechnology and are a supplier of clean room system solutions for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industries.

Established in Atlanta, GA in 1988, GEMU Valves USA is one of our 6 manufacturing sites and has become a recognized leader in the development, production, and manufacturing of engineered diaphragm valves.

The Business Unit GEMU Medical with its headquarters in Emmen, Switzerland, was founded in 2003 and currently employs approximately 125 employees. All manufacturing for GEMU Medical is currently based in Emmen. For the development of GEMU Medical in the US market we are looking for an ambitious Junior Sales Manager.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Junior Sales Manager who can work with multiple departments to deliver measurable results that grow our businesses. Our ideal candidate will be able to implement an effective sales approach that expands our reach, strengthens client relationships and be responsible for developing activities in the US market. The Junior Sales Manager will also actively seek other business opportunities that can increase our revenue and differentiate our company from the competition.

Main Tasks

  • Establishment of the GEMU Medical division in the US market
  • Develop, implement, and monitor business strategy, in coordination with the head of sales GEMU Medical
  • Development of new and existing customers
  • Prepare sales metrics and present quarterly results on a regular basis

Specialized Tasks

  • Developing analyses, business, marketing, and strategic concepts to expand and increase market presence and business volume and revising concepts on a regular basis.
  • Development and implementation of business development ideas (including sales, distribution and pricing)
  • Acquisition of new projects (new and existing customers)
  • Independent travel and appointment planning
  • Clarification of technical feasibility
  • Support in Project Management
  • Personal point of contact for the customers
  • Interacting with customers and headquarters on inquiries about the company's products and services and elaborating quotations.
  • Regular reporting in the CRM system about activities, customer visits, contacts, and appointments
  • Quotation and project tracking Master data maintenance in the CRM tool
  • Credit assessment / creditworthiness monitoring of interested parties
  • Monitoring the customer's business environment and reacting to changing conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in engineering
  • Great passion for economic areas such as strategy, sales, and marketing or a business degree with experience/knowledge in the technical fields.
  • Knowledge of the medical and pharma technology market
  • Passion for sales management activities or a sales-related field
  • Self-motivated, but also able to work in a team environment.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential
  • Networking skills and organizational skills
  • Highly skilled in the utilization of Microsoft Office, CRM and Project Management applications
  • Wiling to travel up to 60% (domestic and international)
