Overview

Merrick & Company is looking for an experienced Project Surveyor for our growing Chamblee, GA office.

Job Description

Merrick & Company is seeking a career and quality minded individual for challenging projects including all types of Boundary, Easement, Right-of-Way, ALTA, Topographic, Design, and Plan & Profile Surveys. Successful candidate will work under direct supervision of the Survey Manager.

Typical annual pay range for this position is $39.00/hr. - $44.00/hr.. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in utilizing AutoCAD and Civil 3D in the preparation of survey drawings.
  • Must be familiar with boundary, easement and right-of-way maps, plats and property descriptions, and SUE deliverables.
  • Ability to draft property descriptions into CAD environment.
  • Solid understanding of coordinate systems, datums and mapping projections commonly used in the United States.
  • Experience working with survey coordinate data and the reduction of field notes.
  • Ability to perform survey related research using online resources or physical county records.
  • Programming/scripting experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of office-based land surveying experience preferred.
  • Degree Requirements: Associates or Technical Two-year degree preferred.
  • LSIT or PLS is not required but will be encouraged.
  • Local candidates preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted.
  • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
