Summary:

The Lead Housekeeper is responsible for the planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department to a high standard of cleanliness. Observing all guidelines regarding infection control and local standards while assuring the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training, and developing all staff.

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Manage the daily activities of the Housekeeping department to include appropriate cleaning of all resident apartments, public areas and offices.
* Planning, organizing and directing team members to ensure the highest degree of resident satisfaction and high standards of cleanliness across the community
* To monitor, check and maintain standards of cleanliness within all areas of the community on a daily basis.
* Daily supervision of all housekeeping staff at Corso Atlanta
* Recruit, schedule, and train all new housekeeping staff members.
* To adhere to all meetings such as health and safety, infection prevention and control, monthly team meetings.
* Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct.
* Ensures the proper maintenance of all equipment; makes arrangements for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
* To review and update the self-check cleaning sheets and to undertake all audits
* To report any maintenance problems observed either in residents' bedrooms or around the community immediately to the Maintenance Director.
* To maintain a professional and helpful attitude whilst on duty towards residents, families, visitors, and colleagues.
* To collaborate with all the other departments to ensure the smooth operation of the community
* To ensure that housekeeping associates always wear the correct uniform and name badges whilst on duty.
* To assist when required with the cleaning of patient bedrooms.

Education and Experience:
* High School Diploma or GED
* 3 years of Housekeeping Management required
* Senior Living experience preferred but not required

Knowledge and Skills:
* Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety procedures

Schedule:
* 8 hour shift
* Monday to Friday
* Weekends as needed
