Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and talented individual who is result-oriented, self-motivated and have ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment to join our team as Associate Data Analyst. This internship role provides an opportunity to gain exposure to Financial Exchanges & Clearing industry while working for an industry leader.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting test harnesses.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather testing needs and understand project objectives.
• Ability to find software issues in complex financial models.
• Support validation of new or existing statistical, financial, or other mathematical implementations.

• Optimize joint validation efforts through appropriate database use and project design.
• Support with Java and Python script development activities.
• Support with software testing activities.

Knowledge and Experience

• Must reside in Atlanta and be able to work 40 hours a week
• Pursuing or Completing master's degree in computer science, Mathematics, or Financial Engineering,
• Ability to write and execute customized and advanced SQL queries in Oracle Database.
• Ability to understand, develop and execute Python scripts.
• Ability to handle large sets of data with varying complexities.
• Ability to understand complex spreadsheets which contain financial engineering formulas.
• Ability to troubleshoot automated scripts using JAVA programming language.
• Experience with analytical tools like Python, R or MATLAB.
• Ability to understand derivative markets and options pricing models.
• 2+experience with commodity markets, trading or brokerage business is a plus.
• Must be a team-player.
